- The BHSc (Honours) Program would like to congratulate Carl deLottinville who is a member of the Project Development, Implementation and Evaluation of the Program of Interprofessional Practice Education and Research (PIPER) team that were recently announced as the recipients of the 2012 Alan Blizzard Award. - The BHSc (Honours) Program would like to congratulate Hartley Jafine who recently received an MSU Faculty Teaching Award in Health Sciences. CONGRATULATIONS HARTLEY!
- The UNSIN Project: Exploring the molecular physiology of sins, This paper stemmed from a poster that Faysal Naji, Lauren Salci and Graeme Hoit, Level 3 BHSc (Honours) students presented at the Experimental Biology meetings in Washington DC in 2011.
- Sheiry Dhillon, fourth year BHSc (Honours), Global Health Specialization student has recently been awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University beginning the Fall 2012 for the next two to three years. Selection is made on the basis of academics as well as: literary and scholastic attainment; fondness and success in outdoor sports, qualities of truthfulness, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship; exhibition of moral force of character and of instincts to lead and to take an interest in one's contemporaries.
