Level I Admissions

Level I Applicants

  • Enrolment is limited
  • Supplementary Applications will be reviewed for those applicants who satisfy the grade and course requirements. A combination of the supplementary application ranking and final/interim grade 12 marks with high rankings on both elements will determine if an applicant will receive an admission offer.
  • The majority of admission offers will be made in early May.


Grade 12 U/M Requirements*

  • English U
  • one of Grade 12 Mathematics of Data Management U (MDM4U), Advanced Functions U (MHF4U) or Calculus & Vectors U (MCV4U). Applicants who present with more than one of these math courses, the highest grade at the time of review will be used to calculate the admission average.
  • Biology U
  • Chemistry U
  • One non-math or non-science U or M credit (note: PSE4U Exercise Science will satisfy this course requirement) Note: Courses in technological education, science or mathematics are not acceptable.
  • One additional U or M credit to total six

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of a mandatory Supplementary Application due February 5, 2010. A review of the mandatory BHSc Supplementary Application is a very important component of the admission selection process. Applicants who do not complete the Supplementary Application are automatically excluded.


Anticipated Cut-Off Range:

  • Admission is by selection - a minimum of 90% is required for consideration


*McMaster continues to accept OACs for equivalent Grade 12 U or M courses.

Admission to Level 1:

  • Applicants from Ontario Secondary Schools or from other provinces in Canada must contact the Ontario Universities' Application Centre http://www.ouac.on.ca for an application package if you have not already done so through your secondary school guidance office. A mandatory BHSc Supplementary Application is also required and must be completed online and submitted electronically by February 5, 2010.
