1. Where is the Anatomy Lab located?

The Anatomy Lab is located in the Health Sciences Building 1R1 in the blue section across from the The Centre for Simulation Based Learning.

2. Do I have access to the Anatomy Lab?

Access to the Anatomy Lab is restricted to students enrolled in various programs in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Engineering. 

3. I am in a program with permission to enter the Anatomy Lab. How do I use my access card?

The iCLASS access card is given to students who have permission to enter the Anatomy Lab.  Each individual must swipe in separately with their card in order to enter the lab. After you swipe your card, a green light indicates that you may enter the lab. 

4. What happens if I forget or lose my access card?

Students are not permitted to enter the lab without their securty card. If you lose your access card, a $10 fee is required to obtain another card.

5. What are the lab hours?

The Anatomy Lab is open on weekdays from 8:00am-9:00pm with your access card. On weekends, access is restricted to 10:00am-4:00pm and you are required to use your card.

6. Am I allowed to bring friends or family into the Anatomy Lab?

Access to the Anatomy Lab is restricted to those with special permission granted by the Faculty of Health Sciences or Engineering.  Unauthorized visitors (including friends or family) are not permitted in the lab under any circumstances.  Your access card allows you and you alone to enter the Anatomy Lab.

7. Can I bring food or drink into the Anatomy Lab?

Absolutely no food or drink is permitted in the Anatomy Lab.

8. Can any items be removed from the Anatomy Lab for further study?

In general, no specimens are to be removed from the lab even on a temporary basis.  However, faculty members and students may contact the Lab Technician at 905-525-9140 ext. 22705 to inquire about select plastic models that may be signed out.
